Sunseeker Predator 75 Video and Walkthrough Review

Sunseeker Predator 75 Video and Walkthrough Review

Nearly of superyacht size, the Sunseeker Predator 75 is a luxury sports cruiser that features a distinctively predatory look. The model emphasizes luxury comfort for guests aboard and moderately high performance. The long, sleek, powerful sport cruising yacht was introduced in the U.S. in 2023 at the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show and the video below provides a tour of the 75 at that show by BoatTest.com, Rightboat’s content partner.

Sunseeker Predator 75 Walkthrough

Captain Gregg provides a stern-to-bow walkthrough of the vessel, beginning with its submersible swim platform, aft crew quarters, and starboard-side tender garage, which is designed to fit a Williams 395 (12’8”) that carries five. He then follows its 18” wide side decks past the starboard-side watertight helm station door to the bow.

There, we see two distinct areas, one for seating up to eight guests around the teak table while the forward sunpad has room for a few more. Speaking of sun worshiping, an additional huge sunpad aft overlooks the swim platform and can be tilted up for those who prefer reclining to lying flat.

Forward of that is the aft cockpit, which has lots of comfortable couch seating and a large carbon fiber dining table that can be raised and lowered. There’s an outdoor grill, wet bar, fridge and icemaker handy as well. And on the port side, for the captain, is a separate control station useful for docking and maneuvering with visibility astern.

The pilothouse saloon opens to the aft cockpit with a unique sliding door to port; once the door slides open, it can be lowered right through the deck with the starboard-side window to create a totally open back end of the saloon.

The saloon itself has another high/low carbon table with more seating and a flatscreen TV that can, like the door, appear and disappear at the press of a button.

Forward on the same deck, the two-seat helm station sits to starboard with good visibility, a dual Garmin display, bow and stern thrusters, and fly-by-wire steering that can be adjusted to the skipper’s preference. Overhead, a significant portion of the roof will retract, giving the yacht the open-air feel of a convertible or a sportscar.

The entire saloon has a leather and suede headliner, leather seating, and wood flooring, which continues down port-side steps to the galley and three cabin staterooms (a fourth is optional).

The full-beam master is situated aft, with large windows, an island berth, and 6’9” of headroom. The VIP stateroom is forward, and both have spacious en suite heads.

The Predator 75 offers a heavy focus on aesthetics with aggressive exterior styling utilizing stainless steel, different shades of gray, and use of leather and carbon fiber accents in the interior spaces.

The base model reportedly sells for somewhat less than $5 million, but with options, will often exceed that figure.

Predator and the Sunseeker Brand

The Predator 75 is the largest of four models currently in the range, which is Sunseeker’s most iconic. It’s not the largest Predator ever built, but it fits squarely in the long tradition of founder Robert Braithwaite, who has always looked for originality and attitude in his brands’ designs. It was the Predator 108 that featured in the James Bond movie, Casino Royale.

Predator 75 Performance Data

The Predator 75’s design features a fine entry and 20-degree deadrise enabling good performance in rough weather. Powered by twin MAN V12 1550 or1900 hp four-stroke diesel engines with V drives, top speed for the vessel is quoted by the manufacturer as 40 knots, although reviewers testing in a seaway say it is slightly below that. The 75 cruises nicely at 30 knots and if throttled back to 21 knots has a range of over 300 nautical miles.
