"Matross" is a fine example of a 1980 C&C 48 Landfall Cutter Pilothouse (optional inside steering station). She is 1 of 24 boats built during her production run fromout of the C&C factory in Rhode Island. She is coming off a 4-year restoration, that included a new/rebuilt 85 hp Perkins diesel inhrs), deck and cabin sides repainted, updated electronics just to name a few items.

She is 1 of 24 boats built during her production run fromout of the C&C factory in Rhode Island. She is coming off a 4-year restoration, that included a new/rebuilt 85 hp Perkins diesel inhrs), deck and cabin sides repainted, updated electronics just to name a few items.
The main saloon is in the raised Pilothouse and offers 360 degree visibility from the inside helm station. The large dinette to port converts to a pilot berth and the inside helm as well a separate Nav Station is to starboard. Her varnished teak and holly sole is in excellent condition with engine access under the cabin sole.
"Matross" has a 2 cabin, 2 head arrangement with a galley down to starboard and galley seating to port.
The aft cabin has ample storage to starboard for liveaboards/Offshore Cruisers and a double bunk to port and enclosed head with shower also to port. The V-berth forward also has ample storage. The second forward head with shower stall is both accessible from the port side settee as well as the forward companionway just aft of the V-berth. "Matross" has 2 16K BTU AC/Heat units (2017) to keep you cool in the summer and warm during the winter.
Above deck, the aft cockpit is huge offering seating for at least 8 comfortably. Fitted with electric power primary winches and her cutter rig, make her an easy boat to be handle by a crew of 2. "Matross" had her deck and cabin sides painted back in 2018 and looks like new.
Master Stateroom and Head
The aft cabin is down 2 steps from the raised Pilothouse Saloon. There are 2 large hanging lockers and a couple of drawers to starboard, a double bed on the port side as well as an en-suite head with shower.
Guest Stateroom and Head
Forward of the Galley is the V-berth. There is a large hanging locker and drawers on the starboard side for storage. V-berth with step and storage underneath. There is a large opening hatch along with 4 opening ports for ventilation. Access to the forward head is on the port side forward companionway going to the forward cabin.
Salon/Galley
Down 2 steps from the raised Pilothouse is the U-shaped Galley to starboard and the second Salon to port. There is almost 9' of counter space in the galley. The galley is equipped with a propane stove and oven, a microwave oven and 3 large ice boxes. There are numerous cabinets and drawers for plenty of storage.
The portside saloon has a long table for dining and can convert to an additional berth. Access to the forward head is on the port side of the saloon with the second entrance in the forward companionway. There is a separate shower stall and vanity.
Pilothouse and Helm
The raised Saloon/Pilothouse has the helm on the starboard side just forward of the Nav Station. There is a full 360 degree view from the helm station. The saloon on the portside has a U shaped dinette with large folding table, with seating for 8. Engine access is under the raised saloon floor offering complete access to both sides of the engine and filters.
