Gertie is a 6 berth, 58ft by 6’10 narrow boat, built and fitted out by JL Pinder & Son in 2004.

With a traditional stern and layout, shes powered with a Barrus Shire 40hp engine, and the unique feature of being an accessible boat. With a larger bow, access is effortless to get on board Gertie. A small section on both sides of the bow have a been professionally removed and finished off, a removable safety rail is then linked into place when on board. Bespoke covers have also been made to keep the cratch dry – See photos.

When entering from the bow, there is an electronic 12V motorstep stand on lift that can be moved if needed, to gain access into the lounge also providing storage underneath and 2 single beds.

Following on to the dinette, which converts to a double bed with radiator opposite, leading to the kitchen. The kitchen is fitted with a Spinflo Caprice Cooker, under counter fridge, stainless steel single bowl and drainer sink along with plenty of storage space and side hatch.

The bathroom has a single shower cubicle, a Vetus pump out toilet, basin with under unit storage and radiator.

The bedroom is position to the stern of the boat, fitted with a double bed and wardrobes, then leading to the engine bay and stern.

Gertie benefits from spray foam insulation, bow thrusters, 2000W Studer Inverter, Solid fuel stove and radiators for cabin heating and cratch cover. With only 2 previous owners, she has been very much looked after by all but especially the current owner, and is now a very reluctant sale due to health.
