DESCRIPTION

Acadia is very possibly the finest example of the Krogen 48 on the market today and the only "Classic" version currently available. Lovingly operated and professionally maintained, she features the safety and docking ease of full, protected walk-around decks, a spacious, covered aft lounge area and beautiful teak interior, including the no longer available teak coffered ceiling (replaced with a headliner after 2008).Acadia is very possibly the finest example of the Krogen 48 on the market today and the only "Classic" version currently available. Lovingly operated and professionally maintained, she features the safety and docking ease of full, protected walk-around decks, a spacious, covered aft lounge area and beautiful teak interior, including the no longer available teak coffered ceiling (replaced with a headliner after 2008). Her full displacement hull is easily driven, comfortable in any sea and very fuel efficient. A true "turn key" vessel, upgrades are evidenced throughout and she is ready for more adventures.

Aft Deck
This is the boat's backyard. Teak decks (refinished in 2023) with access to the flybridge, aft swim platform and side doors for dock access. Great place to lounge, eat and enjoy the sunset. A teak folding dining table conveys as well as 2 teak cocktail tables and 4 Kettler chairs.
Salon
The salon is entered from beautiful teak double doors from the large deck aft lounge area. A retractable screen helps keep the bugs out and air flowing! A dinette is located to starboard with seating for 6-8 and a comfortable settee to port. Teak table refinished in 2019. All cushions were replaced with upgraded foam/fabric in 2014. The teak deck was refinished in 2021. A 2019 flat screen television is located at the forward end of the salon to ease viewing. New (2022) window blinds and exterior snap-on screens ensure privacy. All lighting is LED. Ample, insulated storage below all settee's.
Galley
Recently remodeled, the galley features a huge, custom stainless steel sink, a Force 10 stove and energy-efficient household GE refrigerator (all new in late 2020). It is open to the salon to allow ease of conversation with opening ports both port and starboard. A convection microwave with integrated exhaust fan is located above the stove. Storage abounds...plenty of room for extended cruising needs! Most cabinets feature automatic LED lighting.
Guest Stateroom
This stateroom doubles as both an office and spacious sleeping area for guests. The settee pulls out to an almost queen-sized bed. Lockers abound and there is a large, fiddled book shelf above the settee. Easy access to the starboard stabilizer below the deck.
Guest Head
The guest head has a separate shower with plenty of room. Hidden behind the door are stacked washer/dryers. Below the deck is access to the port stabilizer. The toilet is a fresh water standard sized VaccuFlush which uses very little water.
Master Stateroom
The large master features a true walkaround queen-sized bed with memory foam mattress and a huge storage area below. As with all areas of the vessel, there is ample storage...plenty for extended cruising. A full-width dressing table with mirror is along the forward bulkhead and is lit with a new LED light feature.
Master Head
This head is even larger than the guest one and has a separate shower with a bi-fold door. Same toilet as the guest head.
Pilothouse
The "command center" of the vessel, there is a very comfortable "Stidd" Captain's Chair with easy access to all navigation, engine and communications equipment. Along the aft bulkhead is a large "L" shaped settee that is easily converted to a bunk for the offwatch or additional guests. Sturdy teak doors on both sides allow easy access to side decks and plenty of ventilation. New (2022) roll up screens on those side doors also keep the bugs out and air moving!
Flybridge
This area provides storage for Acadia's 14' Zodiac tender, equipped with a 50 hp Yamaha outboard (boat/motor are 2004 with 2012 tubes). An oversized 1000 lb electronic crane makes launch/recovery of the tender an easy 10 minute operation. The raised centerline steering station has a new Captains chair, full engine control access and is set up for removable navigation and communications equipment. A large bimini covers the navigation area and also supports the solar panels.
Engine Room
Accessed from a hatch in the galley area. Houses the CAT 3208 main engine and Northern Lights 18 Kw generator. Area also houses the ships battery banks, hydraulic pumps/motors, water heater, watermaker and is where fuel levels are measured. Ample storage.
