The Outremer 40 Light is an ocean cruiser/racer, built for performance. Relatively long hulled with a smallish bridgedeck cabin and not much rigid decking forward and has a low displacement for her weight. Large nets forward minimise weight and, similarly, the hulls extends far aft of cockpit, keeping the stern light. Concentrating weight amidships gives the boat excellent handling and seaworthiness.
