DESCRIPTION

Designed by Stephen Jones, the Oyster SJ41 falls under the IOR One Tonner class. A fast cruiser/racer twenty-three were built between 1980 and 1987 with the boats available as a self-build kit or factory built fully fitted out yachts. There was a choice of the traditional masthead or ¾ fractional rigs. Racing successes included five firsts in Cowes Week, RORC Yacht of the Year 1985, Alan Paul Trophy for consistent performance and a class win in the 1985 Fastnet Race. With their sleek looks and spacious interior many of the Oyster SJ41’s are now used as performance cruisers.

Supplied to her owner in kit form the Oyster SJ41 RELENTLESS was fitted out to the owner's specifications, using a factory-supplied joinery kit below decks, launched in time for the 1981 sailing season. A regular sight at regattas around Scotland in the 1980’s she was a regular podium finisher. Still in the original family ownership she has been converted into a comfortable cruising yacht. Following a family bereavement RELENTLESS is now offered for sail with an expansive inventory including:
