Welcome to Shearwater

Shearwater is a 58ft, 6”10’ narrowboat, built and fitted out by Pat Buckle in 1998. This vessel offers a 4 berth layout with the potential to accommodate 6 people. It is powered by a Beta Marine 43 hp diesel engine and features a semi trad stern with a traditional layout.

From the stern, you enter the bedroom, which is fitted with:

• A permanent double bed
• A wardrobe
• Storage above the bed
• A small dressing table

A small cloakroom is also accessible from this bedroom, equipped with a Sealand Traveler pump out toilet and basin.

Next is the main bathroom, which includes:

• A basin with under unit storage
• A pump out Sealand Traveller toilet
• A towel radiator
• A shower with screen (new shower & cubicle fitted in 2024)

The galley kitchen features:

• A Thetford oven hob and grill
• A stainless steel single bowl and drainer
• A 12v fridge freezer

There is a spacious L-shaped dinette with storage beneath, which converts to a double bed. Additionally, there is space in the saloon for a double sofa bed or the option for a couple of armchairs.

The saloon is enhanced by:

• A multifuel stove providing ample heat throughout the boat
• Floor to ceiling glass doors and a side panel leading out to the generous sized bow

Water heating is provided by a Webasto and a calorifier. Cabin heating is facilitated by the multifuel stove and diesel engine with radiators throughout. The electrical system includes:

• 12v & 240V shoreline
• Victron Battery Chargers
• Sterling Inverter 1.8KW
• Three new leisure batteries installed in July 2023
• Victron Battery Monitor

Additional features include an integral steel water tank. The last blacking was completed with 2 pack epoxy in 2020. The Boat Safety Certificate (BSC) is valid until February 2026.
