'Wild Joe' is a Reichel-Pugh 60 that has been transformed from her original Admiral's Cup winning design to a DSS foiling boat using the latest foil and sail technology to take her performance to new levels. In 2018, Wild Joe underwent a complete refit, including the installation of a DSS foil. The DSS foil, coupled with a completely new sail inventory from Doyle Sails, supervised and developed by Stu Bannatyne, has meant that the performance of the yacht has been increased as much as 40%.
Speed increases of 6 knots in moderate wind strengths are not uncommon and the thrill factor for the owner and crew is at a completely different level. The only reason the Wild Joe is for sale is that the owner has commissioned a new Infiniti Yacht, designed around the DSS, and thus this represents an excellent opportunity to acquire a very seriously quick and competitive yacht under IRC, ORC, and ORR.
