Shipman 50 is a high-performance pilothouse offshore cruiser that can be sailed single-handed, which has been with the current owner since he purchased her from an English owner 2007; She has been used exclusively as a family performance cruiser and has not taken part in regattas and races.
Shipman 50 is a high-performance pilothouse offshore cruiser that can be sailed single-handed, which has been with the current owner since he purchased her from an English owner 2007; She has been used exclusively as a family performance cruiser and has not taken part in regattas and races.
She is in fantastic condition, well equipped, and is set up for easy fast sailing and benefits from Reverse cycle air conditioning, water maker, solar panels, and a Volvo second alternator upgrade which, coupled with a 3Kw inverter, provides sufficient 220 volts for air conditioning.
Developed by Joergen Bonde, the Danish owner of Seaway Shipman Yachts, and Jernej and Japec Jakopin of Slovenian J&J Design/Seaway, the Shipman 50 was first introduced in 2003 and was the first all-carbon production performance cruising yacht.
It has been highly acclaimed in the yachting press and won the boat of the year award in 2004. The design principle of the Seaway Shipman 50gives you a yacht with a very good performance which is easy to sail and comfortable down below.
The design of the deck and cockpit area is quite unique and allows one person to control all of the sailing functions from the cockpit area.
The flush deck arrangement helps to give the yacht its stunning exterior appearance. Unfortunately due to the loss of the tooling for the Shipman 50 in a fire, the Shipman 50 is no longer in production hence this is a great and rare opportunity to own one of these boats.
