The Hottest Yachts at the Monaco Yacht Show

The Monaco Yacht Show is the world’s largest and most prestigious superyacht gathering in the world. Held in September/October each year it sees the tiny principality play host to the newest superyachts which are unveiled to great excitement. The 2022 extravaganza will run from 24th September to 1st October, with Port Hercules crowded with the most anticipated yachts in the industry. So which shipyards will be launching their very latest models? Here we take a look at some of the most anticipated yachts of this year’s show. 

 

Ahpo

 

One of the most highly anticipated yachts of the season is Lürssen’s 115 metre superyacht. With an exterior and interior designed by Nuvolari Lenard and Lürssen Yachts, she can accommodate up to 16 guests in 8 cabins and will be enjoyed for family use while also available for charter. The sleek exterior is eye-catching, with long smooth lines, five expansive decks, a helipad, and three crescent-shaped windows creating a distinctive silhouette. Inside and Ahpo is designed with a dancefloor, beauty salon, movie theatre, spa, elevator, underwater lights, beach club and gym.

 

Performance wise Ahpo has been built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, offering a wide beam, lots of onboard space and increased stability at anchor thanks to her full-displacement hull. She is powered by twin MTU engines which allow her to cruise at 14 knots and reach speeds of 20 knots Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, she offers greater on-board space and is more stable when at anchor thanks to her full-displacement hull. Come Together

 

Fresh out of the shipyard in June 2022 is the latest yacht from Amels, whose hybrid technology is putting her at the forefront of innovation and stands as the first 60 metre yacht in the Amels collection to be fitted with hybrid propulsion. The yacht, which is easily identified by its unmistakable trapezoid shaped windows, is part of the Limited Edition series and designed by the legendary Espen Øino with interiors by Winch Design. The entire interior vibe eschews glamour and ostentation, instead opting for an on trend, relaxed vibe with a neutral palette. 

 

Everything about Come Together does as the name implies, and bring families and friends together in a space designed for relaxation. With an impressive health and beauty centre, beach club, lots of water toys and a full beam master suite it’s a yacht built for comfort and enjoyment. 

 

Kenshō

 

The newly launched Kenshō is a truly dazzling superyacht by Italian Sea Group/Admiral Yachts, its strong silhouette, plumb bow and soft, nature-inspired styling by Jouin Manku sure to make it one of the most coveted charter yachts on the market. The 75m yacht was designed by Azure Yacht Design and incorporates 8 cabins which can accommodate 12 guests, as well as 23 crew. The myriad features include a lift, expansive beach club, fully equipped gym, Jacuzzi and plethora of water toys, although one of the most impressive aspects is the exquisite aft deck infinity swimming pool. Inside and the décor gives a serene vibe where soft palettes complement the floor to ceiling windows which allow the sunlight to pour through. Kenshō will be making her official launch at the Monaco Yacht Show. 

 

Project X

 

Greek shipyard Golden Yachts will be proudly unveiling their latest 88 metre superyacht Project X at the Monaco Yacht Show. The yacht, designed by Ken Freivokh, is truly unique in its styling, and centres around an interior three-deck atrium surrounded by balconies and a glass lift which are flooded with natural light from the vast windows. Elegant and sophisticated in its interior decor, Project X – with its signature triple-X design – has five expansive decks, a beautiful aft deck infinity swimming pool, sauna and two Jacuzzis as well as a beauty salon, gym and waterside beach club. Project X will be available for charter after her launch at the MYS, and she is bound to be a firm favourite on the charter circuit. 

 

Rio

 

The 62 metre Rio was launched by Italian shipyard CRN this year and will be making her official debut at the MYS. Designed in partnership with Omega Architects, Rio offers a striking exterior complete with an expansive beach club and sundeck plunge pool, as well as an interior packed with luxuries. The interior styling by Pulina Excusive Interiors is fresh and airy, with a palette of white and pastel blues which harnesses the ocean/beach vibe and brings it inside. Guests can make use of the state-of-the-art wellness retreat with its Hamman, massage room, chromotherpay shower and gym, as well as dine in the palatial main saloon. There are two full beam VIP cabins in addition to the owner’s deck, giving guests privacy and space to unwind onboard. Available for charter in both the Mediterranean and Caribbean, Rio will be one of the most talked about yachts at the MYS this year. 

 

Triumph

 

Sleek and elegant, the fully custom 65 metre Triumph is one of the latest launches by Italian shipyard Benetti. Built with expansive teak decks, a steel hull and aluminium superstructure she offers a wide beam and plenty of interior and exterior deck space. Using the shipyard’s signature construction technology, it reduced running noise and vibrations when onboard, perfect for quiet nights, elegant dinners and relaxing time in the large health and beauty centre which includes a sauna. A major feature of the yacht is the beach club and large treasure chest of water toys, perfect for whiling away days at sea. With an impressive 5,000nm range, a crew of 16 and six large guest cabins, Triumph has been designed to cruise further and for longer in the utmost comfort. As testament to her unique build she won a Neptune at the 2022 Word Superyacht Awards in the Displacement Motor Yachts 1,000GT to 1,99GT category. 

 

Lusine

 

Fresh out of the shipyard and delivered to her owner in 2022 is the 60 metre Lusine, the largest steel yacht ever made by Dutch shipyard Heesen. While not currently available for charter, Lusine will turn heads at the MYS with her sporty exterior designed by Omega Architects and an interior by Sinot Design. In addition to the seven cabins which can accommodate 16 guests, one of her most notable features is the touch-and-go helipad with an accompanying reception area for added privacy and comfort when travelling to and from the yacht.
