Alacrity underwent a complete overhaul in 2006 for a global circumnavigation. The hull was reinforced with 6 to 12 additional layers of fibreglass from about 12 inches above the waterline to the keel.

It has 2 separate lifting ring positions on the main cabin roof, one over the main engine and the other over the generator. No additional reinforcement is needed to lift the engine or generator other than your lifting hoists.

This vessel is constructed for ocean-going unrestricted travel, designed for safety from the main cabin roof structure to the decks and hull.

Construction

Alacrity is made of GRP, featuring a non-slip finish on the deck, which was painted in 2018. It has a center cockpit design.

The hull was reinforced in 2006 with 6-12 layers of Biax fibreglass using West System epoxies, extending up to 30cm above the waterline. A folding swimming/dive platform can be lowered from the stern for easy access from the water.
