Originally built at 81’, she was extended 6’ in 1992.
This gave her the sought after semi enclosed aft deck, huge boat deck and an abundance of extra storage in her lazarette.
Seemingly owned by several generous owners. The current owner is no exception. He has lavished her with care and improvements and according to Burger Yachts is the only Burger owner to own three sizeable 75’, 87’ 118’ Burgers simultaneously.
SHEPSL X
Originally built at 81’, she was extended 6’ in 1992.
This modification provided her with the sought-after semi-enclosed aft deck, a large boat deck, and ample extra storage in her lazarette.
Seemingly owned by several generous owners, the current owner is no exception. He has lavished her with care and improvements and, according to Burger Yachts, is the only Burger owner to possess three sizeable Burgers simultaneously: 75’, 87’, and 118’.
SHEPSL X stands tall, boasts several standout features, and is ready for your inspection!
Entered via the port or starboard midship rail breaks, one can walk forward to the Pilothouse or aft to the Salon/Dining area.
Entering the Pilothouse, the area is surprisingly large with the full main helm, a three-person bench seat, and stairs to the Flybridge.
Forward stairs lead to the engine room and crew area. To port is a double berth ensuite Captain’s cabin, and forward is a two-bunk ensuite Crew cabin. This area also includes a separate washer and dryer.
Going aft from the Pilothouse is a large Galley and a two-person dinette to starboard.
Aft from the Galley is the full beam Salon with a Day Head and a six-place round dining table.
A marble-topped curved banquette to port separates the Dining area from the Salon.
In the Salon to port is a huge off-white upholstered couch, a coffee table, two swivel barrel chairs, and a 70” TV facing the couch. To starboard are stairs to the three cabins below.
Aft of the Salon, through sliding doors, is the large enclosed Aft Deck with built-in seating, three teak chairs around an oval table, a 55” LG TV, and access to the original lazarette area.
Below decks, the king-size Master suite with separate His and Hers Heads is aft, with the port side having a shower and the starboard side a Jacuzzi tub.
Forward to port is the VIP with an athwartships berth and a head with a second Jacuzzi tub.
To starboard is an ensuite twin lower berth cabin with a stall shower.
Entered via port or starboard sliding doors, the Pilothouse is surprisingly large with over four feet between the helm wheel and the bench seat aft.
Below the three-person leather helm seat are four drawers and two full-size chart drawers. Outboard is a cabinet with four additional drawers and a cabinet above.
Forward to port outboard of the centerline helm are four ventilated storage cabinets, two drawers, and a cutout for the yacht’s printer/scanner.
The sole is varnished teak and holly.
Aft are steps to the Flybridge and a slim storage locker. Forward to starboard are steps to the engine room and crew cabins.
Just aft and one ½ step down from the Pilothouse is the full beam Galley. The sole is planked vinyl, and the appliances are all stainless steel, with high gloss varnish cabinets and marble countertops. Unlike many older sisterships, the Galley does not feel dated. To starboard is a two-person L-shaped settee with a matching marble tabletop facing a 24” Insignia TV. There is storage below the settee.
Open to the Salon aft, the Dining Salon has a round six-place table with upholstered chairs to the port side. Built-in raised panel cabinets forward to port with three above and three below a marble shelf (with drawers within) were built to store all the yacht’s glasses and dinnerware. Outboard is the side deck glass framed entry door. Just inside the door are Emperador dark marble tiles.
Aft of the dining table is a curved cabinet with four raised panel doors for further storage. A marble top at a height which does not impede the flow of this area was well planned.
To starboard in the dining area are a set of cabinets similar to those to port, but instead of storage, a clever curved doorway conceals the yacht’s Day Head.
The Day Head has a Headhunter toilet, vanity with sink above, storage below, and beautiful decorative tile around the two-sided mirror that makes this small area seem much larger.
The Emperador dark marble sole extends to the starboard side entry door with a large glass pane in the door.
Next aft is a marble-topped two-door storage cabinet with two drawers within.
Further aft are curved stairs to the accommodations with a raised panel surround to blend into the area’s joinery.
Also in this area are two house side windows both port and starboard with Roman shades, (2) digital A/C controls, a carpeted sole, 14 overhead LED lights, and a vinyl overhead.
Open to the dining area to create a huge visual space is the Salon. To port is a six-cushion C-shaped upholstered sofa with storage below. Two round coffee tables are in front. Centerline is the two-panel sliding glass door to the aft deck. To starboard are two upholstered swivel chairs and footstools with a round glass coffee table between.
Further outboard is the entertainment center with joinery that matches that of the dining area. Within the two forward cabinets is a Sony audio/video receiver, the aft deck Direct TV receiver, and the salon’s Direct TV DVR. Above is a 70” Samsung Smart TV with two storage cabinets below. Aft are two more cabinets with the salon A/C air handler within. The entire cabinet has a matching marble top to the rest of the area. Also in the salon is a contiguous carpeted sole, digital A/C controls, 16 overhead LED lights, and a 5-channel stereo system overhead.
Two port and two starboard fixed salon windows provide ample lighting and can be covered with Roman shades as needed. Above are 20 LED light fixtures in a vinyl overhead.
Full beam, the aft deck has hard side sliding windows and a five-panel curtain enclosure aft with a removable sunshade. The aft deck has built-in seating aft with removable cushions. Lying in front on a large stainless steel pedestal is a high varnished oval dining table with three teak chairs arranged forward. With the hull extension, the aft deck measures 13’6” from front to back.
Additional features of the aft deck include:
Down nine curved carpeted steps from the Salon is the Accommodation Foyer with an Emperador marble tile sole and entrances to the Master suite aft and the two Guest suites. Also in this area is a two-door stewardess locker for supplies and a central vacuum outlet.
Entered via the forward end, a king-size berth is on centerline. Below the berth are four drawers for additional storage below the mattress and rope lighting in the toe kick.
The entire bulkhead aft of the bed is upholstered as a headboard. On either side of the berth are four drawer nightstands with matching sconce lights above.
A 43” Samsung Smart TV is on the forward bulkhead. To port is a two-door auto-lit cedar-lined hanging locker, followed by a chest of nine drawers with a glass top countertop.
Above are two large opening portholes with drapes and a blackout curtain. Aft is entry to the “His” Head.
To starboard is a matching double door auto-lit hanging locker, a chest of three drawers, and a vanity with a Lucite stool.
Above is a matching glass countertop, an opening porthole covered with drapes and a blackout shade. Aft is the entry to the “Hers” Head.
Also in the cabin are 14 overhead LED lights, a dressing mirror, and a SAT TV equipment cabinet behind the entry door.
Entered via a bi-fold door, the sole of this head is white marble tiles. The vanity has two cabinet doors and two drawers under a solid surface countertop with a Kohler undermount China sink. New LED sconce lights flank two mirrored door medicine cabinets.
Inboard is a Jacuzzi tub with a handheld or wall-mountable fixture.
The toilet is a Headhunter compact model with a two-door storage cabinet and an opening porthole with drapes and a blackout shade above.
There are four LED lights and an exhaust fan above.
The sole of this head is Emperador dark marble with an inset of white marble in the center.
The vanity has two louvered doors and two drawers below a solid surface countertop with a Kohler undermount China sink. Above are two mirrored medicine cabinet doors.
Inboard is a shower with a bi-fold obscured glass door, a tile sole, and a wall-mounted shower fixture.
The toilet is a full-size Headhunter model with two cabinets and an opening porthole with Roman shades and a blackout shade above.
Also in the head are four overhead LED lights, a large storage cabinet, an exhaust fan, and an A/C vent with a dedicated digital A/C control for both heads.
Entered from the inboard side, a raised queen-size berth is athwartships off the outboard bulkhead. Above the berth is an upholstered headboard and two opening portholes with drapes and a blackout shade. Below the berth are four drawers and rope lighting in the toe kick.
On either side of the berth are three-door nightstands. Inboard aft is a corner cabinet with a 32” Samsung TV and storage below. Forward is a cedar-lined hanging locker with a bi-fold door and the entrance to the cabin’s head. Above are 9 LED lights and digital A/C control.
Entered via the aft end, the guest head has a large single basin vanity with three cabinets and three doors below. A glass tile backsplash and three mirrored medicine cabinets are above.
The toilet is a full-size Headhunter model. Outboard is a Jacuzzi tub with clear glass sliding doors and a porthole within. Above are five LED lights and an exhaust fan.
Entered from the aft end, the starboard guest cabin has twin raised single berths with upholstered headboards and four cabinet doors below the inboard berth and four large drawers below the outboard berth. Inboard aft is a corner shelf with a 19” Sharp TV.
Above the outboard berth are two opening portholes behind both drapes and a blackout shade. At the foot of the outboard berth is a cedar-lined hanging locker with a bi-fold door.
Between the berths forward is the ensuite head. Also in this cabin are 7 overhead LED lights and digital A/C controls.
The wood vanity has a door and two drawers below a Corian countertop with a China sink and widespread faucets. A glass tile backsplash and two mirrored medicine cabinets are above. The toilet is a Headhunter model with an opening porthole and shade above. The shower has a bi-fold obscured glass door, a wall-mounted or handheld shower fixture, and a light.
