Freedom ~ Freedom ~ Freedom

A Gary Mull design, with a Tillotson Pearson build provides a safe passage maker with a freestanding, carbon fibre mast, which has stood the test of time.

As the name implies, the Freedom 36 offers sailors the world-renowned ease of putting their hands in their pockets when the skipper says "ready to tack".....the self tacking jib and the big main are well behaved, giving couples or single handers the Freedom to enjoy sailing!

In NIKITA you will find a spacious interior with the warmth of TEAK and BRASS, a full Galley and comfortable Salon, along with two Private Staterooms and Head offering more useful space than found on much larger yachts. A new Yanmar Engine was installed in 1996, showing just over 1400 hours and NIKITA also sports a Bronze MaxProp.

NIKITA has been owned for 17 years and gently used sailing the waters of Puget Sound with her current owners. The time has now come for a new owner to take the helm and enjoy this Freedom!

NIKITA has now sailed into Anacortes, so please call our Listing Broker to arrange your personal showing.

These boats don't come around often, so don't miss this one.

2020 Updates:

New Awl Grip nonskid paint done in light grey.

New Main Halyard.

New Jib Halyard.

New Main & Jib Topping lifts.

Bottom done in Summer 2019.

Total detail job and waxed.

Brokers comments:

Nikita is a surprisingly fast and responsive yacht, she sails about 35 degrees apparent to the wind and turns on a dime. Nikita is well behaved and backs into a slip nicely with the Max Prop.

The ergonomics of the cockpit are fantastic and the companion way ladder leads to easy access down below.

The main salon is as large as what is normally seen on 40' boats, its comfortable and very nicely done.

Sailing Nikita is a refreshing change from complicated sailing. Get the sails up, trim the main and jib, cleat 'em off and enjoy the experience.
