ASPEN is a well-maintained 2001 Hallberg-Rassy 36 available for sale by her first owner. She has been enjoyed for short to medium-term cruising along the English Channel and Northern Europe.
Her centre-cockpit layout is ideal for extended periods at sea. This design allows for sailing longer distances while seated in the centre of the yacht, providing extra security and minimizing the effects of the yacht's movements. Below decks, the centre cockpit offers a spacious engine room and a generous owner's cabin.
The expert finish using high-quality materials is a hallmark of the renowned Hallberg-Rassy brand. ASPEN is a robust, practical, and well-finished cruising yacht that delivers exceptional cruising characteristics with a relatively small LOA. She features a bow thruster for easy maneuvering and has been thoughtfully modified to bring all mainsail controls back to the cockpit for easy access by the crew, aided by large primary winches.
Recently relaunched with new antifoul, anodes, etc., she is ready for her new owners. Viewings are available at Southsea Marina, Portsmouth.
All interior woodwork is in light mahogany with a matt silk finish. The floor is varnished teak with inlaid holly stripes. The saloon ceiling features paneling with mahogany stripes, while the remainder of the boat has light lining. Upholstery is maroon with a diamond pattern, resting on unvarnished, well-ventilated boards to prevent condensation. Handholds are present throughout. The boat is carpeted in blue/grey, except directly in front of the galley, where press studs prevent movement. Portholes and skylights are fitted with beige curtains.
MAIN SALOON: A solid mahogany mast support is located next to the main bulkhead. The settees provide comfortable seating, with backrests that can be lifted to maximize sleeping accommodation. Lee cloths are available on both settee berths. Storage is located under the starboard side settee. A dropleaf table with bottle storage is situated between the settees. Additional features include a PIONEER stereo radio/CD player, a Plastimo clock, and a barometer. Blue night lighting is provided for the saloon. Headroom in the main saloon is 1.91m.

It includes an insulated icebox with a 12v 'keel-cooled' refrigeration unit featuring a water-cooled compressor. A deep, double sink with pressurized hot and cold water is present, along with a fresh water foot pump as a reserve. The OPTIMUS 2-burner gas cooker with an oven is gimballed and includes a crash bar and cover. An opening window is situated above the cooker. Additional storage includes a crockery locker, cutlery drawer, breadboard, and room for saucepans and kitchen utensils. A waste bin is also included, along with red night lighting.
HEADS COMPARTMENT: The bulkheads and lockers are finished in white laminate. It features a teak grating, a china wash basin, and a large mirror. A shower curtain is included, and the mixer tap in the wash basin can be pulled out for shower use. The shower waste is drained by a pump directly overboard. A pump-action sea toilet is present, along with a stainless steel holding tank that is emptied by gravity. There are cupboards above and below the washbasin, with ventilation provided through a ventilator, an opening porthole, and a hatch. Headroom is 1.87m.
FORWARD CABIN: This cabin features two berths with ample storage above and below, along with several lockers. An infill cushion is included, along with a hatch and an opening porthole.
CHART TABLE AND WALKTHROUGH: The chart table includes a seat and a spacious chart table, along with a bookshelf and a shelf for mounting navigation instruments. There are five drawers and stowage slots. A large rubber-sealed two-door access leads to the engine room off the walkthrough.
