Hanse 455 – 2017 – Freshly on the market at £380,000
This is an exceptional opportunity to acquire an extremely well-equipped and lightly used Hanse 455, designed for effortless handling and luxurious comfort. The Hanse easy sailing concept makes it very easily manageable alone or by a couple, this concept is further enhanced by the electric winches, upgraded premium vertically battened furling mainsail, autopilot, and excellent ergonomics. (All working lines are accessible from behind the helm.)
If you're in the market for a quality, ready-to-sail, fully sorted and off-grid equipped boat with recent upgrades, this Hanse 455 is an exceptional choice.
This vessel represents an opportunity to purchase a vessel in mint condition offering an almost 'new boat' experience, without the cost or the production delays of ordering new today.
The interior is bright and inviting, featuring light woods, numerous skylights, and multiple opening ports, creating an ideal space for relaxation or entertaining. This boat is in mint condition, with a high level of equipment and very visible pride of ownership.
This Hanse 455 boasts a 3-cabin, 2-head layout, Elvstrøm FCL performance sails, two electric winches and two manual winches. It's easy sailing concept includes a self-tacking jib and all lines leading under-deck to the helm through rope clutches. The exterior features Flexiteek synthetic decking throughout and a spacious cockpit complemented by a quality custom sprayhood and full cockpit enclosure. Powered by a 57hp Yanmar diesel engine, the vessel is fitted with a Fischer Panda 4KW diesel generator; a professionally fitted Lithium-ion battery system with Victron chargers and remote monitoring; solar panel, Webasto cabin heating (with a remote-control function), and a comprehensive B&G electronics package, including an autopilot. The boat is further enhanced by a robust keel/hull attachment and a beautifully bright Cherry wood interior, making it a ready-to-sail vessel in superb condition.
The spacious and open saloon, accessed via a gradual stairway from the companionway, impresses with its abundant natural light from multiple overhead hatches, portlights, and hull windows. The starboard U-shaped dining and lounging area, accompanied by a central bench seat with storage and a long portside settee are all finished in soft brown Portofino leather upholstery. There is a centralised and programable control for the extensive LED lighting adding to the saloon's appeal, which is finished with satin varnished Cherry wood and white bulkheads.
The owner’s double cabin, located forward of the saloon, offers significant space and privacy, with an island ‘queen-sized’ berth with upgraded Comfort Mattress, ample storage lockers & hanging space, and a clever split ensuite head and shower. The two aft double cabins, equal in size and mirroring each other, provide ample space for two in each berth, along with hanging lockers and shelf storage.
The navigation area on the port side aft of the sofa features a tip-out seat (Not currently fitted), chart table with under-desk storage, the main electrical switch panel, B&G VHF radio with remote unit for the cockpit, Webasto cabin heater controller, and genset control panel, all neatly integrated behind finished cabinetry. The guest head and separated shower area are spacious, with a vanity, mirror, electric fresh water flushed toilet, ample storage and a separate shower area. The L-shaped galley to starboard of the companionway entry is bright and well-equipped, featuring black quartz counter tops, double stainless-steel sinks with covers & upgraded stainless steel faucet, a 3-burner Eno gas stove with oven (the oven has never been used!) inset microwave oven, a large top and front-loading refrigerator, and multiple lockers and drawers.
The Hanse 455's rigging and sails are designed for performance and ease, with a 9/10 fractional rig, Selden double spreader mast and boom, Furlex foresail furler, and Elvstrom’s premium FCL vertically battened, tri-radial furling mainsail and self-tacking jib. The electronics suite includes two B&G Zeus2 9" plotters at the helm, two B&G Triton multifunction displays, AIS Class B transponder, B&G 4G radar, B&G autopilot, and B&G VHF with a wireless remote handset for the cockpit. An integrated Starlink internet dish and WiFi router are fitted along with a mast mounted Intellian Satellite TV & communications antenna, and a Fusion stereo system provide enhanced connectivity and entertainment on board.
The deck is well-appointed with Flexiteek synthetic decking, an electric windlass, a cavernous bow storage locker, a large transom swim platform with a Permateek surface giving easy access to the water, or the dock when stern-to, and hot & cold handheld transom shower. The Yanmar 4JH57 diesel engine with less than 350 hours, saildrive, and 3-blade Featherstream propeller with rope cutter ensure reliable performance, supported by a 220-litre fuel tank and an engine room with excellent sound insulation.
The professionally upgraded electrical system includes 400ah of Wave Smart Lithium Batteries, a fully integrated range of Victron Energy chargers, controllers and a Victron inverter, all remotely monitored. A Fischer Panda 4Kw diesel generator, solar panel with Victron solar controllers, and separate batteries for the engine, and thruster. This all gives superb energy self-sufficiency to enable extended off-grid independence.
The Hanse 455's hull is built for strength and stability, with a balanced rudder, 2.25m deep-draft torpedo keel, and a striking pale blue hull with white waterline stripes, and a factory applied Coppercoat multi-season antifouling coating. The vessel's overall construction includes isophthalic gelcoat, vinylester first layer and sandwich construction all contributing to its strength, durability and performance on the water.
