Remarks :The Jeanneau Espace 1000 is a spacious 10 metre cruising yacht built in the 1980s which has tiller steering in the cockpit with an inside steering position for inclement weather. This Jeanneau Espace 1000 has a main and genoa, both new in 2018, a cruising chute and heavy weather sails that have been lightly used. The boat has been in the same ownership since 1996 and sailed during the summer with winters ashore. This is a centreboard version and the owner tends to sail with the centreboard in the half down position all summer.

Wheelhouse with bench settee to starboard and L shaped seating to port with drop leaves dining table. Both settees can be used as single berths. Good storage under the seating. Plenty of light from the wrap round screen, roof hatches, side and hull portlights. Two engine access hatches, under helm floor and under settee.
Sliding door and sliding hatch out to cockpit with all round seating, tiller steering and repeater instruments.

Note, the centreboard keel during the summer sailing season is left in half down position, dropped by gravity and in this position considered by the owner to be optimum for general cruising. It can be prone to fouling with marine life then sticking. It can be freed off and cleaned whilst on the hard during winter storage. Photograph shows it in the half way position.
