Winning the ‘European Powerboat of the Year’ in 2012 the Nimbus 365 Coupe marked the start of a new era for the Swedish boat builder. With a loyal brand following used to the no-nonsense family-orientated, cruising designs that have built the reputation of Nimbus Boats, the 365 Coupe targeted a younger market. Taking the long-distance cruising attributes and adding some modern design flair with a focus on function and comfort with the all-new ‘side-walk’ design making moving around on deck and docking safer.
Commissioned with almost every conceivable optional extra fitted at the factory the Nimbus 365 SPIRIT OF KENTALLEN served as a show boat initially, sold to her first private owner in 2019. The current owners have continued to refine the specification, creating a unique example of this modern motor cruiser. Her inventory highlights include:
Now lying ashore for the winter the Nimbus 365 Coupe SPIRIT OF KENTALLEN is available for viewing at Creran Marine, near Oban; by prior appointment.
BUILDER’S COMMENTS:
‘The 365 is an international award-winning boat with superior design qualities - where large spaces for socializing and leisure activities have been combined with excellent long-distance cruising characteristics. The 365 is all about functional design and is built for the conscious boater who appreciates simplicity, comfort and safety, but also for families who want to enjoy a perfect weekend cruise.
With our new Coupé models, we are reaching an entirely new and generally younger target audience, one that prioritizes simplicity, quality and ability to socialize. This process began with the introduction of the 365 Coupé side-walk design, which won European Powerboat of the Year 2012. Since then, all new Coupé side-walk models have been nominated for or won prizes.’
PRESS REVIEW:
‘The Nimbus 365 comes from a long-established line of seagoing boats that have been developed, among other things, from the hindsight of extensive use in a northern climate. Consequently, the 365 drives very well, especially in the rough, is very well built and feels exceedingly safe. It offers a high degree of practicality and is perfectly suited to single-crew skippers – especially with its wheelhouse side door. It is also beautifully finished, with a high attention to detail. There are a variety of engine options, either single or twin, which, on account of this boat having no excess fat, all offer a realistic power-to-weight ratio. Considering some of its competitors’ price tags, the 365 is a keenly priced boat, especially as she is well equipped in standard form – so much so that you can go to sea without having to fork out for any extras.’
