Boat Overview

This Carolina design sportfish was built in Wanchese, NC by Sunny Briggs. It features a cold-molded hull and a wide beam. The master stateroom is located forward and includes an athwartships queen berth with a private head and shower in the peak. There is also a guest stateroom and a second head, along with a large galley down that includes a new refrigerator. The cockpit is spacious, equipped with a transom live well and fish box.

Powering the vessel are Detroit Diesel 8V92 engines with approximately 510 hours since a reported major overhaul. Recent updates include newer turbos and exhaust manifolds. The generator is a newer Northern Lights model with approximately 910 hours. The electronics have been upgraded to include two Garmin screens, a Simrad autopilot, and VHF radios.

General Description

LOW BIDDER X is constructed using cold-molded techniques with multiple alternating layers of Okume marine plywood and ¾ ounce fiberglass matting. The entire hull is insulated with 1” foam/Mylar insulation, while the forward deck has 2 ½” insulation. The complete exterior was repainted around 2007, and the deckhouse windows were re-bedded. In 2019, the boat was partially painted again, with the deckhouse brow scheduled for painting in 2025. This vessel has had only four owners since new.

Salon

The salon features two free-standing sofas with storage beneath on both port and starboard sides. A teak parquet top high-low table can be expanded to serve as a dining table. A built-in bar cabinet contains a new U-line ice cube maker and a top-opening wet bar sink. The solid surface counter has a molded fiddle railing and a storage cabinet, with four drawers and another cabinet below the sink. The main electrical panel is located to the starboard side aft of the entry door. The tinted deckhouse windows have mini-blinds beneath the valance. A Samsung flat panel TV is situated on the forward starboard side of the salon, with an LG Blu-ray player and stereo amp below. A large countertop on the port side serves as a serving area for the galley, which is open to the salon and leads down to the lower deck level. The sole is carpeted, continuing down the steps to the stateroom level. There is hanging rod storage on the headliner above the sofas.

Galley

The galley is located down to the port side and features a teak-edged countertop with cove lighting and a stainless steel sink. A large refrigerator with a freezer is located aft, while a 3-burner Galley Maid stove with an oven is forward, equipped with a metal lifting cover. Above the sink is a GE microwave oven. The galley offers ample cabinets and drawer storage, with a teak and holly sole.

Guest Head and Stateroom

Across from the galley is the companionway entrance to the guest head, which includes a separate shower stall with a seat and a Kenmore stacked washer/dryer in a cabinet. The head features a white solid surface vanity top with bright lighting and a mirror/medicine cabinet above, along with a teak and holly sole. There is a separate door leading to the guest stateroom located just aft on the starboard side.

The guest stateroom is equipped with upper/lower twin berths and a cedar-lined hanging locker, featuring a carpeted sole.

Master Stateroom

The master stateroom is located forward and includes a walk-around queen berth with cushioned clothes change seats on both sides. The berth is athwartships with the headboard positioned to the port side. The aft bulkhead is mirrored, with a countertop and dresser cabinet below. Two hanging lockers are located across to the starboard side, one cedar-lined and the other designated for weather gear. Cedar-soled drawers are situated on either side of the berth's base. The sole is carpeted, and the private head is located forward in the bow, featuring a teak and holly sole. The Galley Maid Delta head system is present in both head compartments, which includes a holding tank. The vanity top is white solid surface with a molded sink and bright lighting on both sides of the mirror/medicine/linens cabinet above. The triangular shower compartment with a seat is located all the way forward, with access to the anchor locker in the shower.
