Westerly Oceanquest First launched in 1998 in excellent order for a boat of this age. This yacht has only had three owners and is well equipped. Standing Rigging replaced 2020, navigation instruments, davit and dinghy to name but a few extra included. The Oceanquest was designed by Ed Dubois as a spacious family cruiser.

Boat Description

Westerly Oceanquest first launched in 1998 in excellent order for a boat of this age. This yacht has only had three owners and is well equipped. Standing Rigging replaced 2020, navigation instruments, davit and dinghy to name but a few extra included. The Oceanquest was designed by Ed Dubois as a spacious family cruiser. They have very good accommodation, with a particularly good double aft cabin in the more common centre cockpit variant, and the solid build quality and generally high standard of interior joinery of the later big Westerly's. She is a very comfortable and safe cruising yacht which really needs to be seen to be appreciated her quality finish. Viewing highly recommended.

Construction and Mechanical

Construction

All white GRP with fin keel with counterbalanced spade rudder. Wheel steering. Centre cockpit with forward and aft suites below decks cabins. Teak, side decks and teak on cockpit seats.

Mechanical

Volvo 2030 30hp diesel engine. Serviced December 2023. Morse cable controls. Shaft drive to Max feathering propeller. Stripper Propeller Protecta rope cutter.

Forward cabin with double into the handing locker, Saloon features seating on both sides with folding table, L shaped galley to starboard with 1 1/2 sink, 12volt fridge and Force 10, 2 burner oven and grill. Chart table to port. Alcantara Blue upholstery, interior joinery in light oak.

Owners Comments and Service History

The current owners purchased her in 2011 and has treated her as their hobby as well as enjoying many fabulous cruises up and down the west coast of Scotland. She has a fantastic, centreline double aft, cabin, layout and centre cockpit. At present, she is set out for single-handed sailing with all the main lines led to the cockpit for ease of safety and comfort. She is a very comfortable and safe cruising yacht which really needs to be seen to be appreciated her quality finish.
