Wooden Ships Comments on this 63′ Fleur de Lys Motor Yacht
63’ Fleur De Lys twin screw motor yacht designed and built by Dagless Ltd in 1967.
Built to Lloyds 100A1 standard, this large motor yacht was a symbol of status, power and wealth for her first owner, an impressive and very large yacht for the time intended to be run with a professional crew. It is thought she spent a lot of her time in the Mediterranean where her layout an large aft deck with sun shelter would have been superb.
Bought by the present owner after storm damage had destroyed the aft deck roof and damage the superstructure, the boat was given a professional refit around 2020, rebuilding the superstructure, repairing the deck in places, engine overhauls and rewiring most of the boat.
She is currently under a substantial winter cover and is looking very smart on deck and inside, however the topsides are in need of painting.
Her interior is largely original and offers 10 berths in total with 4 heads compartments. The large aft owners cabin is en-suite with a queen size double berth. 2 further guest cabins with guest heads, plus 4 crew berths a separate crew heads in the bows.
The aft deck has been designed for entertaining with newly fitted units on the aft deck containing a fridge, power, lighting and a sink as ell as outside music system and a lrge table with seating. The aft deck can be enclosed with canvas sides creating a dry large entertaining space.
This yacht has quite the presence with her forward wheelhouse, funnel and elegant hull lines. She is one of the largest yachts built by Dagless and would make an excellent cruising home, especially in warmer climes.
Her original Volvo engines are in great condition, parts are easily available and she will cruise comfortably at 8 knots, able to reach a max speed of 12 knots if required.
2021 survey available.
Up to 4 months free berthing available to the new owner.
