Launched in 1990, the Hallberg-Rassy 34 represents a significant evolution in the design style and configuration of the renowned centre cockpit Hallberg-Rassy models. This design remained in production until 2005 and underwent continuous improvements to enhance accommodation layout, including adjustments to bulkhead locations, head configuration, and portlight placements. Over 450 units of the Hallberg-Rassy 34 were produced before the introduction of the Hallberg-Rassy 342.
The Hallberg-Rassy 34 named BERTHA was purchased by her current owner in 2018, making her just the third owner. She has been lightly used for coastal cruising and has undergone significant upgrades in recent years, including:
Raymarine autopilot system with SPX course computer and linear drive connected
direct to rudder stock
Currently ashore, the Hallberg-Rassy 34 BERTHA is presented in a ready-to-launch and sail-away condition, available for immediate viewing by appointment at Creran Marine.
COMMENTS BY HER DESIGNER:
‘The Hallberg-Rassy 34 with her efficient keel and fractional rig is a departure from the centre cockpit masthead type found on the 36 and bigger sisters. It demonstrates the amount of thought and time dedicated to each model offered. This yacht is more performance-oriented while remaining easy to steer and well-balanced. The aft cockpit is large and well-protected from the sea. The rig is simple and sturdy. The interior volume is very well distributed with good headroom and elbow space. All in all, a very nice yacht that will remain attractive for many years.’
Germán Frers
Our understanding is that the yacht is certified to CE Category A (unlimited ocean voyages).
