Designed by Alan Buchanan, the Nantucket Clipper is an instantly recognisable boat featuring traditional clipper characteristics and a sweet shearline with low topsides. As a heavy displacement boat by modern standards, she has earned a reputation as a highly capable and safe offshore cruiser, ideally suited for short and single-handed sailing.
Unlike some examples, SAND DOLLAR was professionally fitted out at the factory when new and has undergone a major re-fit in the late 1990s. Lovingly maintained by her current owner, she has been predominantly sailed single-handed and is set up for ease of use. She is offered with a comprehensive inventory that includes:
A comprehensive additional set of images is available upon request. This is a reluctant sale; she is still in active use with her current owner. Any viewing is strictly by prior appointment and will be conducted in line with the latest government COVID-19 guidelines.
